ALEMAY FERNANDEZ & RICHARD JACKSON

(JUNE 25, SATURDAY)
Singapore and USA

Alemay and Richard both started their careers at a young age and have racked up more than fifty years of performing experience between them. Despite growing up at opposite ends of the globe, together they add their own brand of soul to the genre of music they love most: Jazz. With Alemay’s warm bluesy tone and Richard’s smooth baritone, they will woo Borneo Jazz audience with their uniquely refreshing style and unmistakeable chemistry.

Join them as they present an eclectic mix of groovy originals and jazz/soul covers backed by an impressive band. Euntaek Kim on keys hailing from Korea, better known by his initials E.T., is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music director.

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, he is able to intuitively comprehend and blend into any given musical situation. E.T. has shared the stage with such luminaries as Dennis Chambers, Sonny Emory (Earth Wind & Fire), Sulene Fleming (Brand New Heavies), Mark Lettierigood (Snarky Puppy).
Jase Sng on bass, from The Steve McQueens who have opened for Incognito at the O2 in London and had an album produced by Bluey from Incognito.

Erik Hargrove on drums, performed and toured with The Late Great James Brown,

“shared” the stage with Michael Jackson, Sting, Slash, Lenny Kravitz, Pavarotti, Elton John, Victor Wooten, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Thomas McClary and many more. Erik went on to perform with yet another Living Legend of Funk – Mr. Bootsy Collins and his “A Tribute to James Brown” World Tour.
