LLUIS COLOMA TO MAKE A COMEBACK AT BORNEO JAZZ

Kuching, Friday – Lluís Coloma, the multi-talented Spanish jazz pianist from Barcelona with his New Orleans Jazz, Rock and Roll with influence of Rhythm and Blues will be back in Miri again in May for the Jazz festival.

Audience can recalled Lluís Coloma who performed in 2006 and 2007 jazzing different varieties of music styles and compositions as a trio, septet and soloist featuring jazz genre by legendry Carl Sonny Leyland, Barrelhouse Chuck or Mitch Woods.

Coloma, honoured as a great musician receiving awards such as “Best Catalan Musician 2003” and “Artista Blues Cat 2006”, started his classical piano studies at an early age and self-taught himself for other music genres.

A Spokesman from the Sarawak Tourism Board states, “We’re happy to host this musician again and are looking forward to a unique Spanish jazz experience for the audience which must not to be missed”.

The two-day exciting festival of Jazz music will be celebrated on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 at ParkCity Everly Hotel in Miri.

For jazz music lovers, the early bird tickets will be priced at RM80.00 for family package of two adults and two children (7-12 years of age), RM25.00 for a two-day child pass and RM15.00 for a one-day child pass. The adult pass for early bird is RM60.00 for a two-day pass and RM40.00 for a two-day pass.

The early bird sales will end on April 15, 2015 and is on a first come first serve basis.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketcharge.com.my and are also available at TicketCharge Call Centre, TicketCharge’s KL and Penang offices, all TicketCharge authorized outlets in the region.

In Sarawak, tickets are available at Speedy Video outlets at Plaza Merdeka and The Spring Mall in Kuching and at Speedy Video Outlet in Bintang Plaza, Imperial Mall and Boulevard Shopping Centre in Miri.

It is also available at the Visitors’ Information Centre in Miri, Sibu and Kuching.

For the 10th Anniversary of Borneo Jazz celebration, Sarawak Tourism Board will feature the best performers’ lineup by bringing back favorite performers from the past years which cover a wide range of jazz genre from all over the world.
