Kuching, May 7, 2012 – Shell is continuing its support to Borneo Jazz 2012 through a RM50,000 sponsorship.
Shell Malaysia’s Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs (Upstream) Peing Tajang handed over a mock cheque for the amount to Sarawak Tourism Board’s Corporate Communications Director, Puan Angelina Bateman at a simple ceremony at the Shell upstream office at in Miri recently.
Peing said, ”Shell is pleased to be associated with such an international event and to play our part in enhancing Miri’s attractiveness as a place to live and work in. We wish the Board all the best for the Borneo Jazz 2012.”
As part of its support, the company has also purchased tickets to run a contest for its staff.
Borneo Jazz 2012 takes place at Park City Everly on the 11 and 12 May this year. An interesting lineup of performers will take to the stage at this 2 day event. Prior to this, the launch of the event will take place on the 10 May also at the grounds of Park City Everly Hotel. If you wish to meet the performers and get their autographs, this is your chance to do so. Tickets to all the events are available at Visitors’ Information Centre in Miri as well as online.
