KUCHING, December 22 – Promotional tickets to the Borneo Jazz 2011 are now available online.
Those who are planning a trip to Miri, Sarawak, in the island of Borneo are encouraged to purchase tickets which are available online at www.ticketcharge.com.my.
Limited tickets available for the ‘3-day Borneo Jazz Extravaganza’ will only cost RM200 inclusive of One (1) Entrance Ticket for Show and Dinner at the Opening Night on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Marina Bay Seafood Restaurant in Miri and One (1) Entrance Ticket each for shows on Friday and Saturday (May 13 & 14, 2011) at the ParkCity Everly Hotel, Miri.
Another promotional offer is the ‘2-day Borneo Jazz Weekender’, which is offered only at RM60 at a 50 percent discount. This is inclusive of One (1) Entrance Ticket each for shows on Friday and Saturday (May 13 & 14, 2011). Those who choose to be part of Jazz only for Friday or Saturday can also purchase daily passes which are now offered at discounted price of RM35 per pass per day.
For the promotional offers of the 3-Day Borneo Jazz Extravaganza and 2-Day Borneo Jazz Weekender, only 800 tickets each are available on-line sale up till January 15, 2011. For the daily passes offered on promotion, only 200 tickets are offered on-line at this discounted price up to January 15, 2011. All promotional offers are on-line and on first-come-first-serve basis. These offers will be a great opportunity especially for those who plan to have their jazzy weekend in Miri city and at the same time to explore Sarawak’s natural wonders.
Next year’s Borneo Jazz will be an exciting one with its extension to a 4-day event. The festival will see new features around few venues in Miri, Sarawak. It will kick-off with the Borneo Jazz Opening Night on Friday, May 12, 2011 which will be opened to the public with dinner served.
Organised by STB Leisure & Properties, a subsidiary of Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), the Borneo Jazz 2011 will see performances from various countries that will feature a range of jazz genre from gypsy jazz to traditional jazz.
Grammy nominee Maria Muldaur from the United States will be the headline act on Borneo Jazz stage next year. Sharing the same stage will be Dhruv from India, Cunha & Piper from Brazil, Les Doigts De L’Homme from France, SIU2 from Hong Kong, State of Monc from Holland, Miri born, Victor Yong and the Electric Carnival from Malaysia/Canadaand Yuichiro Tokuda’s RALYZZ DIG from Japan.
To be staged again at the Parkcity Everly Hotel in Miri, the Borneo Jazz will be held on May 12 until 15, 2011.
