Their name describes it all – their music is the wonderful mix of melancholic Cape Verde melodies , infused with vigorous Cuban dance rhythms and a whole lot of exciting improvisations.
The eight musicians originate from Venezuela, Cape Verde, Colombia, Spain, Puerto Rica and Cuba.
Their CD “Rikeza y Valor” was voted best world music CD by Dutch journalists and was selected in four categories for the Latin Grammy, and was nominated four times at the Cabo Verde Music Awards in 2012.
