Kuching, Monday: Swedish jazz band, Jump4Joy will be back to demonstrate its Swedish-New Orleans influenced jazz style at Borneo Jazz Festival which will be held on May 8 and 9 at ParkCity Everly Hotel in Miri.
Cashing on their popularity for being nominated for the Janne Rosenqvist Memorial Prize by the Scandinavian Blues Association as reward for their contributions to Swedish blues, the group hopes to enthrall audience repeating their success in their last performance at the festival in 2013.
Jump4Joy will bring with them a repertoire to include 60 percent of the band’s original music with two main members, Ulf Sandström and Bo Gustafsson who performed as a duo since 25 years ago.
They are expected to play their latest album “The Domino Effect” which is highly influenced by great jazz musician Fats Domino, inspired not only New Orleans music but also Jamaican music, pop and rock music.

For local Jazz lovers, they were reminded again of the festival’s early bird tickets which will be priced at RM80.00 for family package of 2 adults and 2 children (7-12 years of age), RM25.00 for 2-day child pass and RM15.00 for 1-day child pass.
An adult pass for early bird is RM60.00 for 2-day pass and RM40.00 for 1-day pass and the early bird sales will end on April 15, 2015.

For its special 10th Anniversary of Jazz celebration, Sarawak Tourism Board will feature past year’s best performers’ lineup bringing back to favorite performers.
