ANTHONY STRONG IS BACK AT BORNEO JAZZ

Kuching, Wed:- Borneo Jazz audience may recall Anthony Strong and his British jazz style that enthralled audience last year and now he is back on stage again this year.

Dubbed a “great singer and pianist”, his music style varies between Canadian Crooner Michael Bublés and English Jazz entertainer Jamie Cullum’s genre, giving audience an assurance of a jazzy evening.

Anthony Strong taught himself to play the piano at an early age and once discovering his passion for music, he received a scholarship to Whitgift School and also the Purcell School of Music in London.

He completed his degree at the Guildhall School of Music successfully and was self- funded with his part-time performances in bars and clubs where he made the acquaintance of a few famous Jazz musicians.

This opened opportunity for the young musician to work with the “Million Dollar Quartet” a musical, featuring himself as Jerry Lee Lewis, a country rock and roll star and gained respect from his audience and making his ways within into the scene.

In 2012 Anthony Strong’s EP release reached No.1 on the UK Jazz charts that led him to sign a contract with the iconic French label, Naïve.

Watch him perform this year again where audience may recall his musical humour and charms supported by his energetic band members.
