RWMF & BORNEO JAZZ T-SHIRT DESIGN ENTRIES ENCOURAGING

KUCHING, Tuesday – The entries for the T-Shirt design competition in conjunction with the Borneo Jazz and the Rainforest World Music Festival 2013 is encouraging.

Several local universities and colleges have sent their entries to the contest organizer, Sarawak Tourism Board. The yearly T-Shirt design competition, organized for the third time is currently open to University and College both local and international. The selected design entries will be open for exhibition and public votes on 22-24 February 2013 at one of the main shopping malls in Kuching.

Three of each design-pattern that won the competition, respectively Borneo Jazz theme and the Rainforest World Music Festival will become the official T-shirt design and available as the main item at the merchandise stall during both music festivals. Winners will receive prizes from the organizer of the competition that includes 10 sets of 2-days entry tickets to Borneo Jazz 2013 along with the recognition for educational institutions represented, worth RM1,200.00. Winners for RWMF category will get 5 sets of 3-days entry tickets to the Rainforest World Music Festival 2013 along with the recognition worth RM1,650.00.

The 7th edition of Borneo Jazz will be held on 10-11 May 2013, while the 16th edition of Rainforest World Music Festival will be held on 28-30 June 2013.

The T-Shirt design contest is still open until 31 January 2013. For University and College students who are interested, you still have the opportunity to send your creative works to Sarawak Tourism Board office at Level 6, Yayasan Sarawak Building, Jalan Masjid, 93400 Kuching OR you may email your artworks in high-resolution JPEG-format to [email protected]. Announcement of the three top winners for each category will be made on 28 February 2013.
